The series chronicles the Fishers, a family of funeral directors who struggle with relationships and their own personal demons, while trying to maintain a small funeral home. Each episode begins with a fresh corpse (including the clans patriarch in the premiere), which usually has something to do with the ongoing dysfunction in and around the Fisher household.
