The series follows the daily life of the Cunningham family who live through the 1950s with help and guidance from the lovable and almost superhuman greaser, Fonzie, a rough-around-the-edges motorcycle riding high school dropout famous for his slicked hair, leather jacket, and the catchphrase "aaayyyy!"
